Director: Matthew HarshDr. Harsh came to Cal Poly in 2018 as an Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Expressive Technologies. He studies cultures of research and innovation in Africa, focusing on equity and inclusivity. An avid filmmaker, he is Director of 'Computing Cultures', a short film about computer science research in Kenya and Uganda, and Senior Producer of 'Brother Time' a documentary about political unrest after the 2007 Kenyan election. He has the privilege to serve as Assistant Director of the Ethnografilm Festival held annyally in Paris. Outside of the university, he can be found on Central Coast trails and beaches with his partner and sons.

Coordinator: Krysia Hall

Krysia has experience working in a variety of corporate industries in her native Peru, Miami, FL, Buffalo, NY and San Luis Obispo, CA in the areas of sales, procurement and customer service. Her multicultural background helps in understanding a wide spectrum of origins and communities. She joined Cal Poly in 2020 as an Administrative Coordinator in the College of Liberal Arts, where she enjoys working in different tasks and witnessing students reaching their potential through education.  

Student Assistant: Sydney DurdenSydney is a fourth year Graphic Design major with a minor in Experience Industry Management at Cal Poly. She works on the website, graphics, and social media for the Center of Expressive Technologies.
